Clare has been selected to be an exhibitor in the Arts Marketplce during the Trail Weekend of the Wirksworth Festival. This is in the upstairs of the Town Hall, Coldwell Street, Wirksworth on 6th and 7th of September.

La Rambla’s Pottery and Ceramics Exhibition. Spain
Clare's work has been shortisted for the international ceramics contest of La Rambla in the category of ceramic design and new shapes. The pieces will be exhibited throughout August in La Rambla, Spain.

Clare is now featured on Craft and Design Magazine's online gallery Selected. Find it on www.craftanddesign.net

9th July
Clare has received a Marketing Grant from Derbyshire Arts Partnership. The grant will allow her to have new promotional material for upcoming exhibitions and a brand new website...coming soon!

1st June
Clare has been selected to be a member of Design Gap, a selective membership group of well over 200 designer producers, designer-makers and artists. This is great news for Clare! She will be exhibiting within the Design Gap area at Design Edge this September.

20th June -28th July
The Greenhouse Exhibition at Thoresby Gallery. Clare has been selected to show her work in The Greenhouse Exhibition. The Greenhouse is a network for the creative industries in Derbyshire and this will be their first Summer Exhibition.

Derbyshire Open Arts. This annual events allows you to meet makers and see them at work. Visit studios across Derbyshire and make a day of it!
Clare's work will be avaliable to see, alongside the work of Deirdre Gage and Anne Menary at Created at four7nine Chatsworth Road.

6th-8th April
BCTF. Clare will be exhibiting at the British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate. Come to stand 43 in the Newcomers gallery to see her work. Keep an eye out at the entrance too as you will see Clare's work in the display cabinets as you come in.
 
19th March
Clare's work is now on sale at a new gallery in Chesterfield called Created. Created is a craft gallery located at four7nine on Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield. It is part of a unique emporium of shops including Ian Morris Antiques, Libby's, Koo Delicatessen and Amethyst Beauty Salon. Created is located close to Clare's studio and will always have the best selection of Clare Gage Ceramics. Visit www.thehandmadegallery.co.uk to find out more about Created.
 
12th March
An exhibition of Clare's work is now open at Chesterfield's Tourist Information Centre. The exhibition will run until 1st April.
 
1st Feb
Clare has moved into her new studio. The studio is on Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield and has been purpose built for her to work in. She has now began making her award winning designs for sale in the near future.
 
21st December
Clare has been selected as one of only 11 candidates for the 2007 Trevor Campbell Award as part of the Flying Start programme. This award is given to the graduate enterprise that has demonstarted outstanding entrepreneurial skill and development in the six months since the Flying Start programme began.

 

13th November
Clare has been awarded an Excellence in the Community Award by Derbyshire County Council. The award was given in recognition of her achievement in becoming a Fellow of the Royal Society of Art after receiving the 2007 Ceramic Futures award. Her early love of ceramics was nurtured by family pottery classes at the Hunloke Centre, in Chesterfield. Without the encouragement and enthusiasm of the teacher who continues to run the family pottery classes Clare might not have begun the journey to designer success. The award was presented by Councillor Joyce Sanders and politician, author and journalist Roy Hattersley.
 
4th September 2007
Clare has been shortlisted for the Ceramic Festival's Design Award. The Ceramic Festival will be held in Stoke-on-Trent from 5th to 7th October and her work will be in an exhibition at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery throughout the festival.  For more information about the festival see the website www.stokeceramicsfestival.co.uk
 
11th August 2007
An exhibtion of Clare's work has begun at Woolgathering, Eyam. The full range of Clare's Textile Cups can be seen on display alongside the textiles that complete the collection. The exhibtion will run throughout August.
 
25th June 2007
Clare has been accepted on the RSA sponsored Flying Start Programme. The RSA Flying Start programme is an intensive three-day residential course specifically for graduates from recent UK design and related creative-industry degree courses.
The programme is designed to provide participants with knowledge of the fundamentals of business venture planning and business start-up.
